Cyber Defense: the smallest attack surface is no connection
A decision system on a network is a decision system an adversary can reach, alter, or watch. In contested operations, connectivity is itself an attack surface, and the safest packet is the one that never has to leave the box.
DaggerOS™ approaches cyber defense by design rather than by patching: it is air-gapped by architecture with zero external calls, so the decision core is not reachable over a network in the first place. Its decisions are written to a tamper-evident record, so integrity is verifiable rather than assumed. BlackEcho™ reasons entirely on-box, with no model call that leaves the machine.
How DaggerOS handles it
The strongest cyber posture for a decision system is to remove the remote attack path. DaggerOS is isolated by construction, not by a toggle an operator might forget, which shrinks the surface an adversary can reach. The SHA-256-chained record means tampering is detectable after the fact — you can verify integrity in your own browser. Security controls align to recognized frameworks; nothing here is a certification claim.
Related subsystems
- DaggerOS — air-gapped decision core with a tamper-evident, verifiable record.
- BlackEcho — on-box reasoning; no call reaches an outside network.
- Human Gate — the single authorization point, itself part of the sealed record.
Standards touched
Security controls are engineered to NIST 800-53 within the NIST RMF 800-37 process; threat modeling references MITRE ATT&CK; cyber-survivability aligns to DoDI 8530.01. We say “aligned to” and “engineered to” — never “certified” or “authorized.”
Where it fits
Cyber defense underpins every other domain, since a compromised decision system compromises them all. It is evaluated by program offices, prime integrators, and coalition partners. See the security posture and the program office view.
Evidence
Roadmap. Air-gap and tamper-evidence are core properties of the demonstrated system; a dedicated cyber-defense surface aligned to these frameworks is marked honestly as not yet shown on its own.
FAQ
Does DaggerOS carry a formal accreditation for these frameworks?
No, and we do not claim one. Security is engineered to NIST RMF 800-37 and NIST 800-53 using “aligned to” language. Any authorization or accreditation is the owning program’s to grant, not ours to assert.
How does air-gapping help cyber defense?
It removes the remote attack path. A decision core with zero external calls cannot be reached, altered, or watched over a network, which is the largest surface most systems expose.
How would I know if a record was tampered with?
The decision record is SHA-256-chained. Changing one field breaks the chain downstream, and you can verify it yourself in a browser — integrity is demonstrable, not asserted.
