Electronic Warfare: own the picture before you act
The electromagnetic spectrum is crowded, contested, and where modern threats live before they are ever seen. Whoever understands the emissions first — without emitting — holds the advantage; whoever radiates blindly gives themselves away.
DaggerOS™ builds an electromagnetic picture passively first, turning emissions in the environment into classified, geolocated tracks the operator can act on. It characterizes what is transmitting and where, and fuses that with the radar, EO/IR, and acoustic pictures. BlackEcho™ recommends priorities; the operator authorizes any active response through the Human Gate.
How DaggerOS handles it
The discipline is passive-by-default: understand the spectrum before radiating anything that reveals your own position. DaggerOS characterizes emissions and places them in the same fused picture as every other domain, so an emitter is not a separate console but a track among tracks. Outcome, not technique: the operator gains decision advantage in contested spectrum, and no active effect is applied until a human sustains the Human Gate.
Related subsystems
- DaggerOS — fuses the electromagnetic picture into the single operator view and records the decision.
- BlackEcho — prioritizes emitters and drafts a recommendation. It never triggers an effect on its own.
- Human Gate — the single authorization point for any active response.
Standards touched
Sensor tasking and track exchange align to NATO SAPIENT; surveillance and moving-target data are handled per ASTERIX and STANAG 4607. Any active response is held to DoDD 3000.09 human-in-command — there is no autonomous engagement path.
Where it fits
Electronic warfare underwrites operations in contested spectrum and gps-denied environments. It is evaluated most closely by SOF elements, EW-focused program offices, and coalition partners operating where the spectrum is denied. See contested-spectrum EW and gps-denied operations.
Evidence
Demonstrated under live, operationally representative conditions at T-REX 26-2 (May 2026) at TRL 7–8 — passive electromagnetic sensing fused into the multi-domain picture.
FAQ
Does DaggerOS jam or transmit?
The published posture is passive-by-default: it senses and characterizes the spectrum first. Any active response is operator-authorized through the Human Gate, never automatic. We describe what it achieves, not how.
Why does passive sensing matter in EW?
Because radiating first reveals your position. Understanding the emissions in the environment before emitting anything of your own is the whole advantage.
How does an emitter become actionable?
An emission is characterized, geolocated, and placed in the fused picture as a track. The operator sees it alongside radar, EO/IR, and acoustic evidence and decides with full context.
