SIGINT
Intelligence derived from intercepting and analyzing electronic signals and communications. Its two main branches are communications intelligence (COMINT) and electronic intelligence (ELINT). Signals intelligence — COMINT and ELINT together — is how a force learns from an adversary's own emissions; for an operator it turns the electromagnetic environment into warning and understanding.
