EO/IR
Imaging sensors that see in visible light (electro-optical) and heat (infrared), typically packaged together on a gimbal. They provide human-verifiable, classifiable imagery for identification but are line-of-sight and weather-limited. EO/IR gives the human-verifiable look that confirms what a radar or RF sensor only cued; for an operator it is often the sensor that turns a track into a positive identification.
