Meaconing
Intercepting and rebroadcasting navigation or beacon signals, often with delay, to produce misleading bearings or position fixes. It is a form of deception that reuses authentic signals rather than generating new ones. Meaconing rebroadcasts navigation or beacon signals to push a receiver onto a false fix; an operator relying on that beacon may be confidently, and dangerously, wrong about position.
