Multispectral
Imaging that captures a handful of discrete wavelength bands beyond ordinary color, such as near-infrared. The extra bands reveal materials and conditions the eye cannot separate. Multispectral imaging adds a few bands beyond visible color to reveal materials and conditions the eye misses; it is a lighter-weight route to material discrimination than full hyperspectral.
